This build is focused on the spear versus the sword and shield but it never hurts to have a sword and shield on a tanky character. Speed is a factor here even though plate is the armor of choice for this build. Adrenaline rush plus spear to poke down any NPC without being touched. Sprint as needed. And always remember the 5 Ds or Dark and Darker- Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge. Good hunting.
